For the fifth time, those of us who love cold-water swimming will get together to open another season. As usual, the opening is on a Saturday. After that, we swim every Monday and Wednesday at 4 pm and every Saturday at 9 am.
We swim in all weathers and never cancel a session. You can rely on finding a few dozen other enthusiasts by the water, ready to keep you company.
You can start at any time, but the end of summer is the most comfortable moment. If you keep coming from late September onwards, before you know it you will be swimming among pieces of ice in January — and enjoying it.
If you are planning to start cold-water swimming, please read the guidance on this website. Above all, remember that your first dip is with me on a Saturday. Experience shows this is much easier than beginning in the late-afternoon gloom. We welcome complete beginners every Saturday until the end of March. After your first Saturday, you can join the Monday and Wednesday swims too.
