We had a wonderful day at U Žida on 30 March 2024. Together with our swimming friends from Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, we brought six months of cold-water swimming at U Žida to a close. The weather was glorious and we saw some impressive sporting performances, but above all we came together to do something we all enjoy. Here in Frýdek-Místek, cold-water swimming is more than a sport: it is a chance for like-minded people to meet.
A huge thank-you to the organisers, to everyone who donated prizes for the winners and the raffle, and to the photographers who captured such lovely photos and videos.
Our sixth season begins at 9 am on Saturday 5 October 2024. Invite those friends who keep talking about trying cold-water swimming: they might really enjoy it with us. We can also meet at 5 pm on Thursday 3 October at Faunapark in Místek, where Petr Paseka, Pavel Jiřík and I will be talking ourselves hoarse about why we love the cold water so much.
